Studio
After months of looking for a studio location in the Oyster Bay area, my mom took me to one of her favorite flower shops in Laurel Hollow -Scarcella’s. She suggested that I ask Philip, one of the owners, if there was any space available for me. He quickly showed me a small cottage attached to one the green houses. While it was a storage closet at the time, I could see the potential. I was excited at the prospect of setting up in such a beautiful space that is so clearly filled with long history. Scarcella’s celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2022.
Fast forward 10 months and I now have fully operational ceramic studio!
I built furniture painted walls, installed insulation and dry wall, got a new sink, made many hundreds of vases, planters, and sculptures, and have a brand-new kiln installed and am ready to get to work!
